What can I do if my product is missing some parts?

If you have received a product or package that is missing parts, you can order them online, pick them up at an IKEA store or have them delivered through our IKEA Customer Service, depending on the part you are missing.

We apologize for the inconvenience and will do our best to help you. If you're missing any pieces of a product you've just purchased, start by opening and checking all the boxes you've brought home from the store or that have been delivered, as some products can come split into multiple boxes. If you are indeed missing one or more parts of the product you have purchased, the procedure to follow will depend on whether you have a 6 or 8 digit code for the missing part in the assembly guide. Some small replacement parts, such as screws or accessories, come with a code, while others don't.
If you don't have the assembly guide handy, you can find it by searching for the product in IKEA.com/es and then heading to "Product Details > Assembly and documents > Assembly instructions".

There is a 6 or 8 digit code
If you have the 6- or 8-digit code for your missing part, you can order it through our self-service solution in IKEA.com/es and we'll ship it directly to your home at no cost. To make the request for parts and screws by the web, follow these simple steps:
  1. Access the form Hardware Request.
  2. In the search engine, add the product number (without dots) or the reference of the part/hardware (this information is available in the assembly instructions).
  3. In the drop-down menu, select the units you want and select the "+" icon to add it to the order.
  4. Confirm the order list and click on "Order spare parts".
  5. To finish, fill in the form and we will send the parts/screws to your home free of charge and through the Post Office (maximum 10 working days).
If you need the part more urgently, in most IKEA stores (except for planning spaces and collection points) we also have a small selection of spare parts at the Customer Service desk, which is located near the entrance/exit of the store. Stock availability may vary, but if the part is in stock, our team can arrange for you to take it home immediately. If you decide to visit an IKEA store but the spare part is not in stock, an IKEA partner can arrange for shipment by mail. It will be delivered to your home in a few working days, at no cost.

At the moment, we have no way to track your screw order and we cannot cancel it, so when it arrives at your home you can keep it in case you need it in the future or deliver it to the customer service area of your IKEA store when you come to visit us so that we can give it a second life.

There is no 6 or 8 digit code
If you can't find the missing part code, you can contact IKEA Customer Service, either in-store or remotely, depending on your preference:
  • Visit an IKEA store. Be sure to bring your invoice or purchase receipt to your nearest IKEA store before you go. If you used your account IKEA Family At the time of purchase, you can also access your receipt by logging in and viewing your purchase history. Once in the store, go to the Customer Service desk, which is located near the entrance/exit of the store. Our IKEA team will help you identify the missing part. If the part is in stock, you may be able to take it home immediately. If not, we can help you arrange home delivery when the item is available.
  •  Contact Customer Service remotely. Type "Talk to a person" in the chat or call 900.400.922 to get in touch with our IKEA team. We will be able to identify the missing part and, if necessary, arrange for the part to be shipped. Remember to have your order number or receipt handy when you get in touch.

If you need an out-of-warranty electro part, you can purchase it through our third-party supplier ASCI and place the order from the comfort of your home. ASCI sells spare parts for household appliances purchased up to 10 years ago. To request the piece Visit our Spare Parts page and follow the instructions in "Order parts for IKEA appliances".
