What is the return policy at IKEA?
Your satisfaction is important to us. If you're not completely happy or simply changed your mind, IKEA products can be returned within 365 days.
You can return or exchange products bought in Switzerland as long as they still are in our range and you still have their proof of purchase or registered your IKEA Family card with the purchase.
The product needs to be clean, in good shape and damage-free. If not, we reserve the right to adjust the refund amount. The original packaging is not required for returns. Products that have already been assembled can only be returned directly in store.
If you return plants, custom-made products (worktops, sofas, metre textiles, etc.), food, products from the second chance market or products bought abroad that are still in our range, we will only refund you on a refund card to be used in one of our stores or online.
Food products sold in our Swedish market can only be returned within a reasonable time frame, provided they are still in their original packaging and suitable for consumption. Frozen products or the ones cooked for you cannot be returned.
Some products without receipt can still be returned and sold back to the stores, as part of our Secondhand service.
Any modification to the products, such as painting, drilling or removing parts, voids the warranty and prevents the return of the good.
There are three return possibilities: in one of our stores, per parcel or per truck.
- Return in store – Free of charge – prepare your return and go to your preferred IKEA store.
- Parcel Return – hand in your return at your nearest post office or at any official Swiss Post collection point.
- Truck Return – from 99.95 CHF – book a pick-up by our transporter.
Return costs will be deducted to reimbursement.
