Statement on IKEA Edmonton Restaurant

We are pleased to re-open the IKEA Edmonton Restaurant, starting with limited hours and menu, offering both takeout and in-restaurant dining. Health and safety remains our top priority with enhanced measures including physical distancing, frequent cleaning and sanitization, preventative hygiene and contact tracing for every party. Working in line with new measures from the government of Alberta, a maximum of six people can be seated per table and individuals must be from the same household or two close contacts for people living alone.We look forward to welcoming our Edmonton customers back to dine with us.


Please follow these guidelines to help keep a safe environment.

2. Only 1 person inside per return

3. Keep entry way clear at all times for outgoing orders.

We strongly encourage customers to take advantage of our 365-day return policy and bring their products back at a later date.

Health and safety is our shared responsibility and we are continuing to take this opportunity to educate our customers on safe ways to shop with IKEA.

Masks are mandatory inside all IKEA stores across the country and we recommend shopping groups be limited to 2 people maximum.

We encourage customers during this time to consider shopping online at for contactless Click & Collect pick-up or home delivery, or to visit us at a later date if their need isn’t immediate. Due to the impact of COVID-19, we are currently experiencing supply delays, which may impact product availability in-store and online. We encourage customers to check online to determine product availability prior to their store visit or online purchase.

To check, when viewing a product page, click on the link provided in the ‘store stock’ section.

If you want updates, select to be notified when supply is back. Stock updates are made every 24 hours.

Due to system updates and high demand, there is a chance that an item with low stock may not be available for purchase.

Click & Collect

You can shop for it in store – but you don’t have to

Contactless Click and collect service is available at select pick-up locations nationwide. Starting at $5, you can place an order online and collect it from your local IKEA store or an external Collection Point.

Here’s how you do it:

Step 1: Choose ‘Click and collect’ at checkout and you will be able to select an IKEA Store or a nearby Collection Point, operated by a third-party partner.

Step 2: Wait until you receive the “Ready for pickup” email before heading to the store.

Step 3: Follow the instructions in the email and proceed to your selected store or collection point. While collection will be contactless, pick-up processes may vary from location to location. Further direction will be communicated upon arrival.

Click & Collect pick-up instructions:

Step 1: Follow the Click & Collect parking lot signs to the north side of the building. (By the Return Doors)

Step 2: Proceed to a designated parking spot in front of the building. Text your 9-digit order number and parking stall number (Example 12) to the Click & Collect phone number as seen on the parking spot sign.

Step 3: Please wait in your vehicle, will bring your Click & Collect order to you.

Latest news: IKEA Edmonton creates first-ever Indigenous showroom set

Lance Cardinal, who created the 40-foot mural at IKEA Edmonton earlier this year has now designed the first every Indigenous showroom set.

Lance Cardinal believes the room will help to share culture in a way that is accessible to many.

"The most important thing we want people to feel or understand when they walk through the space is more about who we are as Indigenous people" Cardinal said.
