KIVIK 1-seat sofa-bed is a snug and easy-to-place sofa during the day – and simple to make into a comfortable bed at night.

The sofa-bed has a compact design that allows you to fit both an extra seat and overnight guests in a small area.

The seat cushions made of pocket springs, high-resilience foam and polyester fibre mould to your body and provide firm support and comfortable softness, both when sitting up and lying down.

The seat and back cushions are used to create the bed, which means they are out of the way when the sofa is transformed into a sleeping space.

KIVIK 1-seat sofa-bed has a distinct design language and a silhouette like the sofas in the series, while the design without armrests gives it its own strong personality.

Pocket springs are a durable solution that makes the sofa retain both its shape and comfort for many years.

This cover is made of dope-dyed Gunnared fabric in polyester. It is a durable fabric with a wool-like feel, a warm look and a two-toned melange effect.

The cover is easy to keep clean since it can be machine washed and is easy to take off and put on again.

According to industry standards, a lightfastness level of 4 or higher is suitable for home use.This cover’s ability to resist abrasion has been tested to handle 55,000 cycles. 15,000 cycles or more is suitable for furniture used every day at home. Over 30,000 cycles means a good ability to resist abrasion.This seating furniture is tested and complies with relevant strength and durability standards. The tests simulate typical usage of the product and are based on use by persons weighing up to 110 kg.

Too cumbersomeGlennThis was the only sofa bed that fitted into the room we had! It’s only used in dire emergencies and trying to set it up at 2am (partner has Parkinson’s and if they’re having a bad night, I move into the spare room to use this) is too cumbersome! I see that Ikea now have a new model and it appears to be a little ore user friendly.1

Tried to report that we had to put aside since August 2024, but no one cared and insisted it will be fixed. 10years warranty but no one listened.1

Great chair/extra bed KayeHave just bought this for our study as a chair firstly as it matches the rest of the kivik range we have and as a spare bed for visitors. It pulls out to a very good size single bed, I bought a mattress wool topper for protection and to hold everything together and it works like a charm. IKEA single fitted sheets, fit perfectly too. Quite comfortable as a spare bed. Am extremely happy with this purchase. Ideal for grandkids staying over. As a seat it's quite firm but from experience of our other kivik sofas, expect it to soften up as they did after a few months. I love all my kiviks!5
