Delivery options and pricing

How quickly you receive your purchase depends on order size, delivery location, delivery demand and product availability. During online check-out or while booking at an IKEA store, you’ll be able to see available delivery options, estimated lead time and exact prices.

Parcel delivery

Ideal for smaller home accessories such as home decorations, candles and selected textiles.

  • Extra small 0 - 2 kg metro parcel delivery - $5

  • Small 2 - 6 kg  metro parcel delivery - $8

  • Medium 6 - 10 kg metro parcel delivery - $12

  • Large 10 - 25 kg metro parcel delivery  - $19

  • Extra large 25kg+ metro parcel delivery - $29

  • Regional parcel delivery - $29 flat rate

Truck delivery

Truck delivery is ideal for furniture such as sofas, bed frames and wardrobes. 

  • Truck delivery starts at $49 and increases based on order size and delivery address.
  • Final delivery cost calculated at checkout.  

Delivery details

    • Final delivery cost calculated at check-out.

    • This is for selected metros areas, your order will be delivered straight to your doorstep.

    • Approximate lead time is three business days. Estimated delivery date shown at check-out.

    • All parcel delivery has Authority to Leave pre-selected, therefore no signature is required. Your delivery will be left at the front entrance of the building.

    • Product size is subject to package size and weight.

    • The delivery date shown at check-out is an estimated delivery date, you will receive updates and tracking information when your order is on the way.

    • In this order you can include furniture. Products such as sofas, bed frames and wardrobes are suited.
    • Truck delivery starts at $49 and will increase based on your order size and delivery address. 
    • This is for selected metro areas, your order will be delivered straight to your doorstep.
    • Options appear automatically during the order process, if the selected address is in the metro delivery zone.
    • You choose a delivery date at time of payment. This will be an approximate delivery date.
    • For your convenience, we have enabled the Authority to Leave request on truck delivery, this can be selected at the time of payment. The driver will deliver goods to the address without contacting you on arrival. You do not need to be home to sign for your order. Please ensure there is a safe place for goods to be left on delivery.
    • Approximate lead time is two to six business days. Estimated delivery date shown at check-out.
    • Express is the same-day version of truck delivery.
    • Express delivery starts from $59 and increases based on order size and delivery address.
    • This is for selected metros areas, your order will be delivered straight to your doorstep.
    • Express delivery can only be booked within a limited delivery zone. This option will appear automatically if the selected address is in the express delivery zone.
    • For your convenience, we have enabled the Authority to Leave request on truck delivery, this can be selected at the time of payment. You do not need to be home to sign for your order.

How IKEA delivery service works

  1. Shop online or in-store. Go for your dreams and don’t worry about transport. We’ll take care of it.
  2. Book delivery. Buying online? Get options during check-out. In a store? Talk to one of our co-workers in the sales area or visit the customer service area.
  3. Relax, have a coffee (or three) and live life while we process your purchase.
  4. You’ll be notified when your order is on its way.
  5. Be present to sign for your delivery, if needed. Or check by your curb/main entry for your order if you are receiving a parcel delivery or you selected Authority to Leave.
  6. Examine packages for correctness and condition. Issues? Inform the delivery driver and/or contact us.

Good-to-know basics

  • You can track a parcel delivery here or use the link provided in your order confirmation email.
  • For truck deliveries, tell us about any considerations like parking or time restrictions.
  • For truck delivery, service providers will deliver to one selected room of choice. Unless you selected Authority to Leave, in this case the service provider will deliver the goods to the entrance of the building.
  • Be sure your delivery will fit in all doorways, halls, stairs or lifts in your home and building. For dimensions, look under 'Package details' on individual product pages.
  • For deliveries to an apartment, verify that packages can be received or left at the main entry.
  • Live potted plants and food/beverage products are in-store purchases only and cannot be delivered. Sometimes, seasonal items and special collections aren’t eligible for delivery.
  • You can often pair IKEA delivery service with assembly service for even more convenience.
