After booking an appointment, you will meet with an Interior designer either online or in-store to discuss your home furnishing needs or dreams.

Do you want to do everything from scratch or just bounce ideas? Depending on the size of your project or dreams, we offer two different Interior design services.

Interior design consultation

In the initial consultation with one of our interior design experts, we will help you analyse your needs and look at several solutions to find the one that suits you best.

A semi-organised room with some decorations and furniture in place, and some placed in more provisional positions.

    Interior design service

    After the initial consultation you may decide that you would like further help, or you can start with the Interior Design Service straight away. Here we create a complete interior design proposal for a room or an entire home.

     

    Single room price $169

    Complete - Living room  + up to 3 spaces $399

    Meet our designers

    Lucia
    Interior Design Manager

    With over 19 years in Interior Design and 16 years with IKEA, Lucia’s joined IKEA shortly after graduating from her Interior Architecture studies. Lucia believes in the affordability & accessibility of good design for real homes and loves collaborating with customers on designs that prove they can have the home they’ve been dreaming of. While she loves working with all different styles, Lucia has a particular passion for classic Scandinavian design, where form and function are key. 

    Janet
    Interior Design Specialist

    As an interior designer of more than 25 years, Janet has a wealth of experience working with clients and creatives globally. She has worked on both residential and commercial projects throughout her career and has also taught Interior Design. Janet’s passion is taking care of people’s needs and dreams by creating beautiful, functional spaces. Janet has a particular love of organisation and smart storage.

    Sharon
    Interior Design Specialist

    Sharon has been an interior designer with IKEA for over 11 years, and has years of experience styling properties and home renovations. Sharon enjoys the challenge of transforming any area of your home into a well-balanced, functional space.

    Here you will find answers to the most common questions. If you have a question that isn’t answered here, please contact us.

    • Your design may take up to 4 weeks to complete, please note timings may vary depending on the size of the project and designer availability. Your designer will give you an estimated completion date after assessing the needs for your space and discussing your project in detail after your first consultation. Please note, times for larger projects will vary depending on the size of the project. Please share if you have a completion date in mind and we will do our best to accommodate. 

    • Yes, absolutely. The interior designer can make big changes with what you already have in your home. You can get suggestions for a new furniture or tips on accessories to add to what you already have. 

    • We are unable to do home/site visits as all our interior design services are accessible online and instore only.  

    • Please give us as much notice as possible if you wish to cancel or rearrange your appointment. If you wish to cancel your appointment, please click on the cancellation link in your confirmation email or to rearrange. 

    • Yes, the interior designer can find different ways to meet your interior design needs within your budget. 

    • We will be happy to make revisions or provide alternative options after your final consultation, however, please note additional changes after the final consultation will be charged at an additional cost of ($149) and should be arranged directly with your designer at their next available opportunity. 

    • As we are an online service, we are unable to offer a measuring service.
