Keep in mind that you need enough space between the top of the furniture and the ceiling to be able to anchor the product to the wall.

Tempered glass is 4-5 times stronger and more resistant to breaking than regular glass. In case it would break, it shatters into many granular pieces to reduce the risk of injury.

Wipe clean with a cloth dampened in water or window-cleaner.

Safety and compliance

Handle with care! A damaged edge or scratched surface can cause the glass to suddenly crack or break. Avoid bumps from the side - this is where the glass is most vulnerable.Must be anchored to the wall. Different wall materials require different types of fixing devices. Use fixing devices suitable for the walls in your home, sold separately.

Looks nice but flimsyTobyI love the look and colour of this cabinet but was frankly shocked how cheap and flimsy it seems. It's made of 'solid timber' (mostly) but it's extremely light and not very sturdy. The hinges and drawer runners are cheap and nasty. It wouldn't have killed IKEA to spend a few more dollars on these at least. For the price, I would have expected much better. However, it really suits my space and I am going to buy the matching bookshelf version when it is available, even though it is three times the price of a Billy bookshelf. My suggestion: check it out in-store and buy on special. Be careful you don't over-tighten screws as they can poke through or cause a visible bulge on the outside (my mistake)3

Disappointed Anonymous reviewerBeautiful shelves to look at. Was looking forward to them but disappointed by the quality. Thin soft wood. So thin I was worried it would be damaged during construction with a hand screwdriver. Thin paint, blotchy and cracked in places. Looks like a cheap piece of furniture. Drawers run smoothly but uneven and jam if pushed in from sides. Timber on shelves is raw and grainy/ not smooth. I've had the bookshelf 2 days and already leaving marks on the exposed wood. Supporting pieces for shelves look insufficient to holding anything heavier than a few bowls (couldn't use it to hold my cookbooks). The quality of this shelf is not like displayed in the display room and not like the previous furniture I have purchased from ikea. Very disappointed given the price has increased in the last few weeks since looking at the item. Worried that my young children will hurt themselves on this unit or that it might spontaneously collapse, especially given the glass element of the doors. 1
Terrible EveFlimsy. Not solid at all. Draws are unusable. So disappointed after spending by so long putting it together. Looks really nice but recommend you look at the cabinets with doors with shelves instead. Go to an ikea store and view in person. 1
