What if an external elevator is required for my delivery?
Products that you want to be delivered to a floor and that are very large and heavy sometimes can not be taken up the stairs. Then it is necessary to use an external (moving) elevator.
- Parcels heavier than 60 kg
- Packages wider than 150 cm and longer than 200 cm
- For example, couches, large mattresses and kitchen work surfaces
You can arrange the external elevator with an IKEA sales representative and pay for it together with your order. Shopping online? Call our customer service.
You have to arrange with the municipality that there is an exemption for placing the elevator on the street. Sometimes there are costs involved. Without the dispensation, the carrier cannot use the external elevator and the delivery cannot be made to a higher floor. If so, delivery can be made on the first floor.
