What can I do if my product is missing some parts?

If you've received a product or package that has missing parts, you will be able to either order these parts online, pick up the missing part(s) at an IKEA store or arrange a delivery through the IKEA customer service depending on the part that you’re missing.

If you’re missing a part from a product you just bought, first check all the boxes you brought home or received, as some products may be split into multiple packages. If parts are still missing, your next steps depend on whether you can find a 6- or 8-digit code for the missing item in the assembly guide. Small spare parts like screws or fittings often have a code, while others may not.
If you don't have the assembly guide at hand, you can find it by searching for the product on IKEA.nl and then heading to Product details > Assembly and Documents > Assembly instructions.

There is a 6 or 8-digit code

If you find the 6 or 8-digit code for the missing part, this means that you can order spare parts through the online tool and have them delivered by parcel directly to you free of charge within 10 working days.
If you need the spare part more urgently, most IKEA stores (except Plan & Order Points) also have a small spare parts selection available at near the customer service desks. If the part is in stock, a co-worker can arrange for you to take it home immediately. If the spare part is not in stock, a co-worker can also arrange a parcel delivery for you of the spare part and it will be delivered to your home address within 10 working days, free of charge.

There is no 6 or 8-digit code

If you’re unable to find a code for the missing part, a co-worker can assist you in identifying the missing part. If the part is in stock in the store, you may be able to take it home immediately. If not, a co-worker in the chat, phone or in the store can help arrange a home delivery for you. Take note that not all parts can be ordered.

Did you forget a paid item at the checkout counter?

All products that are left behind at the checkout counter are collected at a central point. If it has been found, then you can pick it up at the customer service desk. Make sure to show a proof of purchase.
