How does the 90-day trial for mattresses work?
We think it is important that your new mattress is comfortable and good. At IKEA, you therefore get 90 days to determine whether you are satisfied with your choice. We ask you to try the mattress for at least 4 weeks. A mattress has to get used to your body first, and vice versa!
- Test the mattress for 4 weeks. Also choose a matching pillow, for the best comfort.
- Are you sure that, after 4 weeks of testing, the mattress does not suit you? Then you can exchange it once. This can be done up to 90 days after receiving the mattress.
- Choose how you want to exchange the mattress: in an IKEA store or at home
- In an IKEA store:
- Take the mattress to the returns counter in the store.
- You will receive the purchase price back on an IKEA refund card.
- Test other mattresses in the bedroom department and get advice from a staff member, or order online using the Mattress comfort guide.
- Pay for your new mattress with the IKEA refund card. If the new mattress costs more, you pay this amount extra. Does the new mattress cost less? Then the rest of the amount remains on the refund card.
- At home:
- Test other mattresses in our bed department and get advice from a staff member, or choose online using the Mattress comfort guide.
- Contact us to make an appointment to have the mattress exchanged at home.
- During the exchange appointment, the driver will give you a mattress bag and ask you to pack the mattress in it. They will also deliver your new mattress.
