A divan bed has two parts – the divan bed base and the mattress – so you can assemble it quickly. The base is usually a wooden frame covered with textile and the mattress matches the base to provide a great night’s sleep. In the IKEA range, some divan beds include a stylish headboard and some have drawers built-in for storage. You can also choose from a number of styles, colours and sizes to suit your bedroom. Spring into bed every night.
Divan beds are enormously popular. Because who wouldn't want to sleep in such a deluxe hotel bed? A divan consists of a fabric-covered mattress base with springs, a mattress and a mattress topper. The biggest difference between a divan and a bed with a slatted base is the mattress base. This lower layer with springs absorbs movements and pressure together with the mattress. This is why a divan is so comfortable and supports the neck and back so well.
Advantages of a divan:

- Comfortable – thanks to the sprung base in combination with a good mattress
- Attractive – gives the bedroom a luxurious feel
- Easy – the height makes it easy to get in and out of

Double, king size or single divan beds?
Size matters. At least when it comes to divan beds. The most obvious consideration is how many people are going to sleep in the bed. But that’s not all, how much space does each person need and want? Your bed in your style
Choose wooden legs, or aluminium if you prefer, to give your divan its own look. The choice to have a headboard – or not – also determines the look. You can also choose from a fabric-covered mattress in the same fabric as the divan or a white mattress so you can see the sheet under the bedding.
