In 1956, Ingvar Kamprad defined the LÖVET table as "a charming little thing, with an ultra-modern design". He wasn't wrong: it still adds a special touch to any corner of the house.

IKEA PS table clock, 1995

Designer: Thomas Eriksson

The IKEA PS clock is today in the permanent collections of the Swedish National Museum: a striking piece that has never stopped setting trends.

STRANDMON easy chair, 2017

Designers: IKEA of Sweden

The popular STRANDMON armchair was launched in 1951 and was one of IKEA's first upholstered furniture. Since then, it has remained IKEA's best-selling armchair worldwide. 

BAGGBODA side table, 2024

Designer: Karin Mobring

Karin Mobring, one of IKEA's most influential designers, was born in 1927 in Östersund and trained with the celebrated Carl Malmsten. Among her designs, pieces with a retro spirit such as the BAGGBODA side table.

BILLY bookshelf, 1979

Designer: Ola Wihlborg

It was born in 1979 from a simple sketch on a napkin. Today there are so many BILLYs in the world that it is estimated that there is approximately 1 for every 100 people. With its many colors and combinations to choose from, it has found its place in households around the globe.

FROSET armchair, 2020

Designers: Sarah Fager and Henrik Preutz

The wide, curved seat, rounded back and the angle between the two make its geometric design full of comfort. Thanks to the curved wood in different thicknesses, FRÖSET achieves a light yet sturdy silhouette, updating a classic Scandinavian design technique.

POÄNG armchair, 1992

Designer: Mikael Warnhammar

This Scandinavian-style armchair was launched in 1976 under the name POEM, becoming a bestseller. In 1992 came its successor, POÄNG, an updated version to the one made 15 years earlier.

JÄRPEN armchair, 1956

(Now SKALBODA)

Designer: Niels Gammelgaard

In the early 1980s, our founder Ingvar Kamprad asked Danish designer Niels Gammelgaard to create the world's most economical, industrially manufactured armchair without fabric or padding. Thus JÄRPEN, today known as SKALBODA, was born.  

DUKTIG children's kitchen, 2007

Designer: Mikael Warnhammar 

The DUKTIG toy kitchen is a miniature version of the VÄRDE kitchen series from 1998, designed for children to play at "having their own kitchen" just like the one at home.

IKEA PS 2002 watering can, 2002

Designer: Monika Mulder

The IKEA PS VÅLLÖ watering can was part of a collection intended for both outdoor and indoor use. Its organic FORMA, inspired by moving water, allows several units to be stacked to save space and transport, and was awarded the Excellent Swedish Design award in 2002.

It was launched in 1969 as a simple rice-paper sphere that filled the house with soft, cozy light. Today it returns updated under the name GULLSUDARE, keeping that same warm brightness in a shade crafted from rice paper.
