How do rewards from IKEA Family work?

As an IKEA Family member, it has never been easier to enjoy our practical benefits. Simply collect points with every purchase and for many interactions at IKEA Switzerland and choose from our range of great rewards from IKEA Family to use it in store, online or via phone.

 

1. Collect points

You can collect points in all IKEA stores, at our Plan and order Points, when ordering by phone, on IKEA.ch and in the IKEA app. Points are only granted if you are identified as an IKEA Family member. Always make sure to scan your IKEA Family card in-store or log in to your profile while shopping online or in the IKEA App.

There are two ways how you can collect points:
  • By shopping at IKEA
    You receive 1 point for every CHF 5 you spend. This includes home furnishing products, services, food and drinks. You do not collect points when you buy an IKEA gift card. Points will only be added after the entire shopping process has been completed.
  • By interacting with IKEA tools and services
    You also collect points when you, for example, create an IKEA Family profile, create and save a shopping list or book and attend a planning appointment.


General terms and conditions for collecting points

  • There is no limit to how many points you can collect
  • Your points expire after 18 months if you do not use them
  • Points can only be collected in the country where your membership is registered
  • Points are non-transferable, non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash
  • If you make purchases via the IKEA Business Network, you cannot use the IKEA Family benefit of collecting points and using rewards
  • If you return a product for which you collected points, the same number of points will be deducted from your total within 48 hours
 

How do keep track of my points from IKEA rewards?

You can keep track of how many points you have already collected and see how you can collect more points by logging into your IKEA Family profile and finding "Rewards". To see how many points you have collected for a certain activity, click on the "points history" button. It can take up to 48 hours for the points to appear in your profile. If 48 hours have passed and you haven't received points after shopping or interacting with the tools and services, please contact us.
 

2. Choose and activate a reward

Once you have collected enough points with IKEA Family, the reward will automatically be unlocked in your profile. If a reward is shown as “unlocked”, it means you have collected enough points to be able to activate it. If a reward is “locked”, it means you need to collect more points.
What type of rewards can i choose?
  • Product rewards: Use for furniture or accessories in stores, online, or via phone.
  • Food rewards: For food in our Swedish restaurants, Swedish bistros and Swedish Food Markets.
  • Service rewards: Use for standard or curbside delivery in stores, online, or via phone.
To see the terms of use for each type of reward, click on the reward you are interested in.

To choose and activate a reward:

  1. Log in to your profile via IKEA.ch or IKEA App.
  2. Under "Rewards" choose a reward from the list of unlocked rewards and activate it.
  3. Once you have made a choice, the required number of points will be deducted from your IKEA Family profile.
  4. The reward coupon is available in your IKEA Family profile and will also be sent to you by email. Use it when shopping online, in a store or by phone.
 

3. Use your reward coupon

  • In stores
    At checkout, identify yourself as an IKEA Family member and scan the QR code of your reward coupon at the checkout counter. The coupon will be applied automatically to your total before you pay. You can use multiple reward coupons from different categories for each transaction you do in stores.
  • Online
    Log in to your IKEA Family account and proceed to shop. During checkout, select ‘Apply voucher/discount code’ and choose (or first activate) a reward or enter the 16-digit reward coupon-code. The coupon will be applied automatically to your total before you pay. You can only use one reward coupon per transaction when you shop online.
  • Via phone
    Before finalizing your order, provide the co-worker with the 16-digit code of your reward coupon you’d like to use. The coupon will be applied automatically to your total before you pay. You can only use one reward coupon per transaction when you shop via phone.
 

General terms and conditions for using reward coupons

  • Each reward coupon is unique and cannot be used more than once
  • Your reward coupon will expire if you do not use it within the next 30 days after activating it
  • As long as the reward coupon has not been used, our co-workers can ‘deactivate’ it within 30 days. The status will then be set back to ‘available’ and the points will be credited back to your profile
  • If a transaction is voided or an order cancelled when using a reward coupon, a new reward coupon, of the same type, will be generated for you to redeem in your next purchase. The validity of the coupon is the same as that of the original
  • If you return a product purchased using a reward coupon, the corresponding number of points will be deducted automatically within 24 to 48 hours, and the reward coupon won't be given back
