How does the Click & Collect service from IKEA work?
To use this service, simply add your wished products to your cart online and select the collection point of your choice (IKEA pick-up point, IKEA locker, external pick-up point). You select a collection time window during checkout. Once paid, you can no longer make any change to this order. You get notified as soon as the goods are ready for pick-up. Please have your order confirmation and ID ready with you.
- Order placement:
a. Log in with your IKEA Family account to profit from benefits and collect rewards (optional).
b. Add all your wished products in your shopping cart. Note that assembly is not possible with Click & Collect options.
c. By "continue to checkout" all possible delivery or collection options will be offered depending by products and your zip code. Maybe Click & Collect option won't be shown for logistical reasons. You also need to have a minimum purchase value of 20 CHF for the collection at an external pick-up point.
d. Find here all collection points possible. For opening hours and where to collect your goods in a store, visit the page of the respective store. Lockers are available 24/7, except in Vernier(Geneva).
e. Choose your preferred IKEA store or designated Collection Point and select an available collection time slot.
f. Before paying, secure that all data and products are correct, no change can be made on the order as soon as it's being prepared.
- Order processing and preparation:
a. You receive an order confirmation via e-mail or SMS after placing the order.
b. Your order is processed and reserved at your chosen collection point.
c. You will be notified per e-mail or SMS as soon as the order is ready for pick-up. It is not possible to pick up your order before you have received this notification.
d. If you selected collecting from a locker, the code will be sent to you by e-mail or SMS when the order is ready.
Track and manage your order online
Modifying or rescheduling your order can only be made until your order is being prepared. After a certain status is reached, you may need to cancel and re‑place your order with help of our Customer service.
It is not possible to change a Click & Collect order into a delivery or the other way round.
- During collection:
a. Arrive at the designated collection area during your scheduled time slot. You can find exactly where to go in the Click & Collect details on the page of the selected store.
b. Present your order confirmation along with photo identification. If you want someone else to pick the goods for you they should have a copy of your ID, order confirmation and a written consent document.
c. Locker: You will receive a code to open it as soon as the order is ready. You need to have this code ready with you. It can also be retrieved within your order tracking.
d. Collect your items and make sure you can load them by yourself and that your vehicle is big enough. The goods may be handed over to you on a pallet or trolley that have to be left after loading.
If your car isn't big enough, you can also rent a van waiting for you on the parking.
- After collection:
a. If you haven't picked up your goods in the chosen time window, the goods will be put back in the stock of the closest store. Only the goods' value will be refunded to you on your payment method. (Exception: The external pick-up point in Landquart will store your products until you come to pick them, but with a storage fee of 5 CHF.)
b. Once you have collected your order, check that you have received all your items and inspect the packaging for damage.
You have 7 days to report any discrepancies or make a claim.
If you have chosen CembraPay as your payment method, you will receive your invoice only after successfully collection.
