Are the IKEA soft toys exempt of PFAS?

Yes, we have banned all PFAS substances in our textile products since 2016.

At IKEA, the safety of our customers and the compliance of our products with all applicable regulations are our top priorities.
PFAS (Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) are a large family of chemicals used for their water-, grease- and stain-repellent properties, also called "forever chemicals" because they don't degrade easily in nature and can accumulate in water, soil, food and in the human body over time.
More information about our approach to chemicals can be found here: Our view on chemicals.
