Safety and compliance
The cover has a lightfastness level of 5 (the ability to resist colour fading) on a scale of 1 to 8. According to industry standards, a lightfastness level of 4 or higher is suitable for home use.This cover’s ability to resist abrasion has been tested to handle 50,000 cycles. 15,000 cycles or more is suitable for furniture used every day at home. Over 30,000 cycles means a good ability to resist abrasion.This seating furniture is tested and complies with relevant strength and durability standards. The tests simulate typical usage of the product and are based on use by persons weighing up to 110 kg.

The disappointing part is the grey cover. It certainly doesn't fit as shown in the Ikea photos. I bought 2 chairs plus covers and returned one cover as it was too large in the seat area and too tight elsewhere. The covers are now out of stock so I have one chair with a slightly wrinkly cover and the other with no cover at all!

Very stylish chairSueI already have the Ektorp armchair, 2 seater sofa and footstool with covers in this fabric in my living area, and this chair caught my eye as being great size and style for our study which lets in lots of natural light and is a great spot by the window for curling up with a book or a tablet.
Compact and simple it works really well in a small room….not that it has become a reading spot as planned because my beloved rescue cat has claimed the chair as her favourite spot…I have managed to share the chair on a few occasions and for its compact style and simple style it’s really comfortable and roomy enough for one human and a cat…
