OLSERÖD is two tables in one. A smart side table that you slide in front of you on the sofa to eat while watching TV – and then you can quickly transform it into a stylish coffee table when friends visit.

You can quickly transform this multifunctional table from a slightly higher side table into a lower coffee table to suit all the different activities that take place around the sofa.

The smart design of the side table allows you to slide the table top over your lap and enjoy a proper dinner while watching TV, without risking spills or the underframe getting in the way of your legs.

Stable to eat on and with a table top that has enough room for a plate, glass and cutlery – and the table top is easy to wipe clean when you're done.

You transform the table by removing the table top from the underframe, turning the underframe on its side and then fixing the table top in place again by using the fasteners under the table top.

The fabric pouch under the table top is a smart storage space for small items you want close at hand. The pouch is fixed to the underframe with touch-and-close fastening so it’s easy to remove and wash.

You can decide how tightly the pouch is fixed to the underframe. Looser screws make it possible to pivot the pouch, so it easily adjusts to the desired function.

A clean shape, an industrial expression and toned-down colours mean that the table goes with most decors and becomes a nice design element in the entire home.

You can easily lift and move the table around to use it in different rooms and contexts, for example by the armchair in the reading corner.

Absolute rubbishDanielYou can’t place any mugs or cups on it, even though it’s supposed to be a coffee table. The moment any liquid touches the surface, it gets damaged. I bought this about a month ago and I’m already ready to throw it away.1

This isn't fit for purposeMeganI finally put this side table together today, and I really am not happy. I thought I could choose how I assembled this table, but discovered that it's not the case. The lid isn't secured to the frame except for some clips on the side that don't securely attach. The ability to flip how you use the table means that I feel it's not fit for purpose as it feels too flimsy to think of putting anything like a cup of coffee. It feels like the top will come off when you touch it.1

Too unstable, extremely disappointed, quality & engineering falls very short with this product.Anonymous reviewerNot sure if mine & a few others tables are faulty, going by the reviews, but this is definitely unstable. The idea is sound, but it falls very far from the usual IKEA quality expected. 2* due to the following: 1) table top is NOT SECURE. It moves around if you try to use it for anything other than static use: tablet, phone or a book. Using a laptop on it is almost impossible. The clips are just show pieces, they DON'T actually CLIP INTO or onto anything, a major design flaw heavily overlooked. 2) shelf is not secure enough. I will stay in place, but if you knock it, it can easily move & everything falls out. 3) similar to another customer, my water bottle tipped, the top has bubbled & worn away from the table edge. Overall, this could be a great product & is exactly what I need for my very small space, but it falls far from the IKEA quality tree. I'm not sure how it made it through testing & am extremely disappointed. Worst item I've had from ikea, glad I didn't pay full price.2
