What can I do if I hear a loud noise from my dishwasher or washing machine?
Do you hear a clear bang or a regular noise coming from your dishwasher? This is most likely caused by the water hammer in your dishwasher.
This noise is caused by the sudden closing of the water valve in the machine. The solution to this is to place a water hammer arrestor between the supply tap and the hose of the appliance.
A water hammer arrestor can be purchased at a hardware store or from a qualified installer.
