How does IKEA make sure the products are safe to use?
At IKEA, we think safety is very important. We all want our home to be a safe place, not least for children. If we work together, we can reduce the risk of accidents. We design all our products with a safety first principle. If something does go wrong, then please get in touch with us!
Most of the glass products from IKEA are made from reinforced glass, also sometimes called safety glass. This type of glass is stronger than regular glass and is less prone to breaking. If it does break, it will create a lot of smaller parts, instead of creating large, sharpe glass shards that could create injury.
Anchor your furniture to the wall!
We have a guide to wall anchoring on IKEA.nl. If your wall material is not listed here or if you have any questions, we recommend contacting an expert or a local DIY store.
