How do I attach a BILLY bookcase to the wall?
At IKEA, safety is very important to us. That's why we recommend securing your furniture. You can fix your BILLY bookcase to the wall with the included supplied fittings
To ensure safety, we recommend that all cabinets sold by IKEA be secured to the wall. Different wall materials require different types of fittings. Therefore, use fittings that are suitable for the wall material. You will find different types of wall fittings in our TRIXIG screw and plug set. This set is sold separately.
The BILLY bookcases have a cut-away at the bottom (8 x 2 cm). This allows you to place the cabinet tightly against the wall without the plinth getting in the way.
