What should I do when I am not happy with a custom-made product?
It is important to us that you are completely satisfied with our products. If you are not, you can make a report to IKEA.
To determine whether your claim is within the scope of the IKEA General Terms and Conditions of Sale, please read them before making your report. You can read more about the guarantee on your purchase in the guarantee brochure for METOD kitchens (Dutch).
Can I (continue to) use my custom-made top or wall panel after I have made a complaint?
Because the delivery of new custom-made products takes several weeks and you do not have a usable kitchen without a worktop, we recommend that you continue to use your custom-made worktop. It is better not to install a custom-made wall panel yet.
Mount the worktop as indicated in the assembly instructions to your cabinets and connect the sink and cooktop. Do not seal the worktop yet and do not glue the separate parts of the worktop together. We also strongly recommend that you postpone any tiling or painting in your kitchen until we have found a suitable solution for you.
Is the worktop too badly damaged to be used temporarily? Then we can offer you a temporary standard worktop free of charge. You must cut this worktop to size yourself, but you may use it for as long as necessary.
Have you read all the information above? Then please contact us!
In order to assess your claim remotely, we need clear pictures of the problem and your proof of purchase. When you contact us, we will make sure you receive an email from IKEA that clearly states the information we need to help you further.
