I want to modify my IKEA product, does this void my warranty?

At IKEA, we love how creative our customers can get with our products! However, we can't offer you any advice on how to change, adapt or modify your current IKEA products. Any modification will void your warranty.

The safety of our customers is at the heart of how we design our products. That's why, we take care to create them in a way to prevent any accidents, so you can feel safe in your home.

Our products have been extensively tested for their designed purpose in their original state, and we cannot promise that these products will still function as designed when you modify them. Any modifications you do to a product such as drilling holes or removing parts during use, will void the warranty. Therefore, carefully read and follow the assembly instructions for your product.

My product is already out of warranty
If you want to experiment and can do so in a safe way, feel free to modify your IKEA item to fit your needs. However, we can't give you any advice on modifications. Please also share your creations on our social media channels, we are excited to see how you design a better everyday life!
