Do I need the receipt to make a return, and how are refunds processed?
Yes, the receipt or proof of purchase is required for returns, and refunds will be made based on the condition of the item (opened/assembled or in its original packaging).
- If you used your IKEA Family card, you can access your receipts from your profile on the IKEA website (log in), in the My purchases / Show receipt section, where you can download or print your receipts.
- If you did not do so, IKEA can help you retrieve your receipt if you provide:
- Date of purchase.
- Store where you made the purchase.
- Exact amount.
- The last 4 digits of the card used (please note that card payments made through a digital wallet may have different last four digits than the physical card).
- If the product has not been unpacked, the refund will be made using the same payment method used for the purchase.
- If the refund amount exceeds €999.99, it will be refunded using the same payment method, even if the product has been opened.
- General timeframe: Regardless of the return method, the refund will be made within 14 business days.
- If home pickup is required, the timeframe begins from the moment the merchandise is picked up.
- If you returned the items via Correos, the 14-business-day period begins once the goods arrive at our IKEA store.
