  • Combine this bed frame with a slatted bed base with a max. thickness of 4 cm to keep the slats hidden in the frame. The slats of a higher bed base may be visible along the sides of the bed.

Don't buy AncaWe loved the looks and had good previous experience with IKEA for the last 30 years. But the frame broke within a month of purchasing this bed in king size. When trying to fix this, we noticed the end of the bed frame was not one long piece, but actually patched from 1' long pieces glued together to make the width of the king size bed. This was supported by the four legs, no other middle supports. We are not overweight and are not of the age to jump on the bed anymore. Just sat down to put my socks on. Very disappointed. 1

"The idea with TÄRNKULLEN is to start with a robust bed frame and add covers that can be removed and washed. This way, the bed can be used for longer and continue to look fresh year after year. The covers I designed come in two styles – one that is snug and tight, another with a softer fit and a loose-hanging skirt. You can also switch covers if you want to change the style or just make a little tweak. No matter the cover, I want the bed to feel cozy, friendly and welcoming."
