Tongs that actually work!LauraAfter working through a slew of tongs that either melt or don’t pick anything up, these tongs are fantastic! They have gripping points on the ends that pick up food easily, wash up well in the dishwasher and look great. And all this for $7!! Will be purchasing more of these.5
Great cooking utensil for turning or picking up food.SherryleThese tongs are great to use when turning or picking up food when cooking. The long handles have black silicone on them to stop the tongs from getting hot whist cooking. The ends of the tongs are slim with little grippers which make picking up food when cooking and turning a breeze. Best tongs I have ever purchased !5

Material

What is stainless steel?

Stainless steel is found in everything from building structures and cars to sinks and knives. It’s easy to see why it has so many uses. Stainless steel is hard and durable and has good resistance to corrosion – namely rust. It generally has a low nickel content, and for IKEA products we mainly use stainless steel that’s nickel-free. Like many other metals, it can be recycled again and again to become new, hardwearing things – without losing its valuable properties.

Quality

All our utensils can take the heat

Most of our plastic spatulas, whisks and ladles can take temperatures up to at least 220°C (428°F), which is higher than most normal cooking temperatures. So you can leave your plastic utensils in the frying pan for a while without worrying. If you have pans with a non-stick finish, we recommend you use plastic or wooden utensils. They're softer than metal and gentler on the inside of the pan.
