The soft-closing mechanism is integrated into the rails and catches the doors as they run on the rails so that they open and close slowly, quietly and softly.
These HASVIK doors have a high-gloss white finish. They are also available in matte white and a variety of wooden effect finishes.
Sliding doors allow more room for furniture because they don’t take any space to open.

The product and assembly process were great overall. It only took me longer to finish because of a series of mishaps. First, IKEA delivered the wrong door size. After they collected it and sent the correct one, that door unfortunately arrived damaged. IKEA picked it up again and replaced it without any issues. Customer service was easy to deal with, but the incorrect delivery and damaged item did cause some delays and inconvenience.

I would recommend paying the extra money and getting staff to assemble it. Although easy to assemble, it would have saved quite a few hours.
