Pleasantly surprisedCharlesWhat drew me to eventually purchasing this was the price as well as the price for replacement filters, both of which are significantly more affordable than even base models on the market. The price is almost deceptive; one would perhaps expect to sacrifice a degree of product quality for the price point however there is little to none and I was pleasantly surprised.
Within just 30 minutes of use there was a notable difference in the air quality of the room I have installed it in. I did have a dust problem, and am particularly sensitive to dust, which is what finally motivated my interest in getting an air purifier and this has virtually eliminated that concern.
At the lowest setting, unless you are specifically listening for the noise it is barely there if even noticeable. The caveat is that at the highest setting you can definitely hear the fan at work but can not say I am particularly bothered by it as it's almost like a white noise.
It could not be simpler to use with only the single knob allowing for three fan speeds and the unit is very light so moving it around say from room to room is not an issue. It comes apart very easily for cleaning or installation of filters, once required. In addition to that, it was easy to mount on my wall with the guide provided which made up part of the packaging box which was a nice touch, and if not mounting the stand works just fine too. I love the design of it, allowing it to be an accentuating stylish feature of the room decor as opposed to appearing as another appliance.
As mentioned, the price of the replacement filters is also a huge positive in consideration of this product.
I have had it running for most hours of the day since purchasing it. I regret I had not purchased it sooner.

Pretty good little filterCharlotteI was living on a main road and it was very dusty. This filtered out a lot of the dust in the room and I also used it with the gas filter while cooking. Though not sure how good the air quality really is compared to HEPA filters but still great value for money. I did notice if I didn’t have it on at night I was more stuffy in the mornings. It’s also great for white noise at night for sleep. This was a second purchase for a second bedroom. Overall a great product5
Allergy SufferersJoannaI have been having a lot of sinus issues while trying to sleep where one side of my nose will completely block to the point I can’t breathe. This causes my mouth to open and then I wake up too often during the night. After a week of using this product I’m getting better sleep each night as I can breathe easier while trying to sleep. Starts out great but...JohnWe purchased two of these units and both were extremely quiet at first. They certainly do work well as air filters but within two months the one we had in the bedroom became too noisy and had to be swapped with the one in the lounge. Since then the other unit has also become noisy. They both have a very irritating rattling sound that I've tracked down to poor quality bearings in the fan motors. Now, less than a year old, we're looking at replacing both units with different, hopefully much higher quality, air filters.1

Incredible value for moneyKtThe desire for a air purifier with a HEPA filter was solved by the Förnuftig. Low speed is so quiet it doesn't interfere with our sleep and higher speeds provide a comfortable air flow. Add a gas filter for bathroom cleaning and removal of unwanted chemical smells.5
On par with $500 air purifiersKatieI am absolutely happy with this product. Decent air purifiers can cost upwards of $500, so if Ikea want to charge me $100 + $20 for an additional filter, I am more than happy to! When I am home, I run it on setting Medium or Low, and turn it up to High when im out of the house! As we have cats, we have noticed a remarkable difference in the air quality.
