Price GaugeChristinaI bought these plinths last year however needed an additional 2 to finish off the kitchen, imagine my shock when I see they are now 3 times what I paid.....they're plastic. I can understand a small price increase but this is just ridiculous and as I already had them through most of my kitchen I was left with no other alternative but to pay the exorbitant price2

Very disappointingRobertThe Metod system has many outstanding components, but this is not one of them. It is difficult to align the clips with the legs, and if they are not accurately aligned, the clips can warp the inside of the plinth so they are not as securely in place. Even once successfully installed, the plinth looks cheap and plasticky, and the end caps fall out easily. To make matters worse, there is no warning when installing cabinetry that if the leg height is set any less than 80cm, it is difficult or impossible to fit the plinth intact. Fortunately, the top of the plinth can be trimmed off to fit it with legs set lower, but it is not easy to cut the top evenly with any type of saw other than a full bench saw. Having worked hard to install a Metod kitchen, it is incredibly disappointing to get to the final component and find is so difficult to install and so poor in appearance, not to mention very expensive for what you get. Surely IKEA can do better than this?1
