Down and feathers are natural materials that sometimes have a slight smell. The smell is harmless and fades over time. Airing or washing , and drying it thoroughly in a dryer, helps the smell fade faster.

Tumble dry after washing until the filling is completely dry.

This product is suitable for use in smaller hotels, inns and B&Bs as the design and material are optimised for frequent use and washing.

This product is flammability tested and complies with standard EN ISO 12952-1.

The material is dry and not heavy. The only downside is that it smells strongly. After drying it for a day, I slept with it all night. The smell forced me to wake up early the next morning, and my throat was a little sore. I am very sensitive to smells. Its smell makes me feel uncomfortable. I plan to leave it there and continue to air it out for a few days. I hope the smell will subside. For those who are not sensitive to smell, I recommend buying it because it is indeed warm. Material

How to care for your down/feather duvet

With a little care, you can prolong the life of your down/feather duvet and keep it fresh. The filling has a natural smell which can be reduced by airing or washing. Wash the duvet separately with a mild detergent (1/3 of the normal amount) on delicate cycle at 60°C. Avoid bleach/fabric softeners. Tumble dry immediately on low heat. A dryer ball or a high-quality tennis ball in the dryer will ensure more efficient drying. Air your duvet regularly, if possible, in direct sunlight.
