4 years of using itSashaI bought this 4 years ago and it’s been painted many colours since. I use it still often and it’s ok value. I don’t believe it’s worth this much now, I wouldn’t buy it again as over time the middle step has become “ wobbly” and I fell off it two days ago and seriously hurt myself. I had an ambulance come and take me to hospital. Mind u, I have 36 broken bones from a hit and run and knew the step was wobbly but needed to use it. It’s good value when it’s on sale. It wasn’t ikeas fault. 5

Super handy & not cumbersome step stool!DianaI am on the concentrated awesome side when it comes to height. I have a lovely three-step ladder that lets me access anything up to around 3m. Unfortunately, this is very large & not so conveinent when trying to get into awkwardly placed top cabinets in a very awkward kitchen. So, I perused options from multiple stores & decided to go with Ikea's simple Bekväm step stool. It is a plain wood, so I can choose to stain or paint it later. Or leave it in the original raw loveliness. It is the perfect height & size to use in my small (floor space-wise) kitchen to access the top cabinets & shelves, as well as being able to clean the tops of those same shelves. I can also conveniently store it behind my bin for easy access. I love the wall mount option, despite not being able to use it in my rental.5
An attractive and handy little ladder.HeidiWe leave this ladder hooked to the wall near the kitchen and I love the way it looks. My partner likes to grab it to climb up and get things that are just out of reach, but I still just stand on a chair for that purpose, preferring to stare admiringly at the cuteness of that little Scandi ladder in its place on the wall. Such a good looking ladder.5

Great productIshaThis is a superb product for someone like me who is elderly and needs a secure stepladder to access higher shelves. It is also very nice to sit on and quite attractive in its way. Folding is a useful feature but a bit stiff for me.5
It’s beautiful, robust and everyone in my apartment building wants oneAnonymous reviewerIt may seem simple but finding a good 3-step stepladder that looks good in a kitchen is hard work. There are plenty of aluminium options out there but few that actually look like a nice piece of furniture in a home. It’s robust, well made and, in a high-stud apartment, used every day! Many of my neighbours (I live in a new-build apartment building) want one and are sad to find it’s from Ikea (I live in New Zealand - we STILL don’t have a store). In summary, I use it every day and it’s great.5

Long lasting and well madeAnonymous reviewerI’ve had this stool for over 6 years now, and it’s still as sturdy as it was when new, without any re-tightening of screws or anything. I’ve been very impressed with its build quality, and I’m sure it’ll last many more years to come! The timber is unvarnished but smooth and well finished; mine’s become discoloured over the years from being stood on and occasionally getting wet - if I bought it again I’d probably put the effort in to varnish it before using it. Highly recommended!5
