Great tapAnonymous reviewerPut this tap into our house when we first moved in. Only removed it 4 years later when we finally renovated the kitchen & I wanted a tap with a pull out spray. The plumber installed this no trouble & was happy with the hoses. (2017) We had no trouble with it at all, so I’m looking at getting it at the new house, until we save to redo the whole kitchen. Seemed much better than the dearer ‘cheap’ versions at a large green hardware store. Also bought a banned brand for the laundry-same style. The red/blue has worn off the laundry tap. This one didn’t do that. Very happy. 5
Almaren mixer kitchen tap.PatrickI was a little nervous about buying this tap. What do you expect from $125? Well I was surprised. The quality is very good and the tap is quite solid. It’s been going for 2 weeks and so far so good. I had my reservations about the plastics hose connector but so far so good. If it lasts 2 years I’m happy, but it does have a 10 year warranty so that’s good peace of mind. All in all, yes I would recommend this tap.5
Love the modern look GaraI bought this mixer tap along with the Vattudalen kitchen sink, and it’s a great combination. 5
Amazing quality for the costChrisWe looked at many mixers that were twice the cost of this that didn't even come close to the quality in the product and features, amazing.5
Excellent value and quality of mixer TapTrevorI am very impressed and happy with this mixer tap. It was easy to install with all the tools were provided as well! I particularly like the spacer washer to make up for the thinness of the sink. It ensures that the tap can be very securely fastened to the sink. As for quality and value: I would rate it better than other mixer taps that I explored that were two and three times more expensive. I am really satisfied with this item.5
Looks good, easy to install, easy instructions.Anonymous reviewerI recently purchased this, I installed it myself just by reading the instructions. Very easy to follow for me. Quite proud of myself, I guess I'm a girl plumber now.5
Leaking tapSamHad professionaltly installed, major leak out of handle and tap base, water damaged my brand new floor and cabinets.1
Terrible - leaksJasonThis lasted for about a week of use before it started leaking from both the tap valve and from around the faucet connection. Just seems to be poor quality build but you get what you pay for I guess.1

Large reach tap that worksTrevorGreat operating space to fill large objects. Swing radius is ideal and adjustable. Attachment is easy and quite sturdy.5

Leaky tapAnonymous reviewerAs I noticed as with another review, my tap was leaking soon after the time it was installed. The installer warned me at the time I had my new kitchen installed that it does not pay to use cheap tapware like Ikea taps. However I naively thought that a company like Ikea would still provide products that were quality regardless of the price, well I was wrong. Within a couple of weeks this tap started to drip from the mixer, it was a slow drip but still annoying. Being a busy person, I put up with the drip by maneuvering the mixer between hot and cold and reducing the pressure of the water going into the tap, which did help at times; however, the drip is now increasing and I regret not taking the kitchen installer’s initial advice.1
Mixer tapAnonymous reviewerLooks smart and modern works well good quality. My plumber installed it easily into an 80's house5

Material

What is brass?

Brass is a mixture of copper and zinc and the amounts vary depending on the desired properties. Copper is usually the main material and the more zinc you add results in the brass being harder and stronger, but also results in it being more difficult to shape and less resistant to rust. Brass can be recycled as brass but never into its original metals. At IKEA we use brass for things like knobs, handles, frames and taps.
