What is IKEA Family?
IKEA Family is a free loyalty programme, open to everyone who wants to make their dream home a reality. It’s more than just a card. It’s a way for you to get more from your IKEA journey.
As an IKEA Family member, you become part of a community that gets access to home furnishing inspiration, special features to make shopping easier, member discounts to reward your loyalty, and other little surprises along the way. The programme is designed to support you throughout your entire home furnishing journey. From the first spark of an idea to planning your space and bringing your project to life.
By joining, you unlock a world of benefits, including IKEA Family prices, rewards, digital tools, and access to in-store events.
Core Membership Benefits
As an IKEA Family member, you get access to a wide range of benefits designed to make your experience with IKEA even better, such as:
- IKEA Family prices: Enjoy special pricing on a selection of IKEA home furnishing products, food items in the Swedish Restaurant, and services like delivery. Look for the blue IKEA Family labels in store and online.
- Just-in-case protection: With an IKEA Family membership, you will get a Just-in-case protection on your new products. If you accidentally damage an item during transport or assembly, you can exchange it for a new one within 14 days. Just make sure that you scanned your IKEA Family card when you made the purchase.
- Free hot drinks: Take a break on the house. Enjoy a free tea or filtered coffee in the Swedish Restaurant. This offer is typically available every weekday (Monday-Friday) at participating stores.
- Events & workshops: Get inspired and learn new skills with free member events. Participate in in-store home furnishing tutorials, hands-on workshops, and preview new collections to help you bring your ideas to life.
- Digital access: With your membership, all your purchase receipts are saved digitally, so you’ll never have to worry about losing a paper copy. This makes it easy to track your spending, manage returns, order spare parts, or request assembly services for products you’ve already purchased.
- Rewards from IKEA Family: Get more from every IKEA interaction. As a member, you collect points not just for shopping, but also for engaging with the brand, too. You can later use your points to choose a reward that suits your needs, such as a free meal at the Swedish Restaurant or a discount on a future product purchase. Do I get a Swedish cake on my birthday as an IKEA Family member?
However you celebrate your birthday, we are happy to help you make it unforgettable. If you are an IKEA Family member, we will treat you to a Swedish cake on your birthday. We will send you a birthday voucher by email on the day of your birthday. The birthday voucher is valid for 30 days after receiving the e-mail.
Enjoy a tasty Swedish cake the next time you visit one of our stores. You can choose from a DAIM almond chocolate cake or Swedish apple pie. Scan the voucher and your IKEA Family card at the cash register in the Swedish restaurant.
To receive this voucher, please change your settings in your IKEA Family profile that you want to receive e-mails from IKEA.
