Is my pan suitable for my IKEA hob?

Look at the symbols on the bottom of your hob to find out if the pan is suitable for your hob.

It is important to use the right pans with your hob for the very best cooking experience. To make things easier for you, IKEA puts clear symbols on all pans that indicate whether they are suitable for gas, ceramic, induction or even all three. You can also find this information on the product page for the pot or pan on the IKEA website.

Keep in mind that a pan that has already been used on a gas hob, may no longer work optimally on an induction hob. The heat from a gas burner can slightly deform the bottom of your pan. After that, the bottom of the pan no longer makes full contact with the induction hob. We therefore always recommend replacing your pans in this situation.
