What about the Teflon coating IKEA uses for pans?

A Teflon layer is used as a non-stick coating in a pan. This layer is suitable for daily use.

To ensure that your IKEA cookware stays beautiful for a long time, we recommend that you:

  • Always use wooden or plastic spatulas or other kitchen utensils in the pans;
  • Always grease your pan with oil or butter when using it;
  • Always wash the pan by hand.

If you follow these tips, the non-stick coating will remain intact and you will enjoy your pan for longer.
