How can I prevent or remove rust in my sink?
Do you have speckles, stains or rust in your stainless or stainless steel sink and would like to remove it? If so, use a stainless steel cleaner.
Rust speckles can also be present on new sinks. These superficial speckles occur during the manufacturing process and can be polished away.
Sinks made of stainless steel have a protective coating to prevent rust. This coating can wear off after years of use or improper maintenance, which can lead to rust. You should therefore carefully follow the maintenance instructions in the user manual for your sink.
Rust can also get into the sink from another metal object, so-called fly rust.
