Is it possible to have orders shipped to the Dutch Islands?
You can have your order transported to the islands. Parcel post is delivered by PostNL and larger deliveries are provided by local island carriers.
If your package is no larger than 170 x 73 x 53 cm and no heavier than 23 kg, then it falls under parcel post. Parcel will be delivered to you by PostNL or DHL.
A larger delivery (by truck) is carried by island carriers. When ordering online you enter your own address and zip code. The IKEA carrier will take your order on the agreed date to the transfer center of the appropriate island carrier for an island delivery. The island carrier provides transport to your island address.
The island carrier charges costs for the transport to your address on the island. Ask the carrier about the amount of these costs.
Payment online or in store
Because the freight is not transported by an IKEA carrier to your address on the island of your choice, it is only possible to pay directly when you place your order (online or in-store). The transport costs of the IKEA transporter are also paid directly.

To ensure that your delivery is successful, you must provide a safe, clear, and adequate space for your products to be delivered by the transport partner. If your delivery is going to a higher floor than ground level (i.e. an apartment or building), sufficient access via stairs or an elevator is required. Deliveries through staircase are limited up to and including the 4th floor unless an elevator is available. While most IKEA products can be delivered, some fragile or oversized items may have restrictions.
