Can I connect the IKEA extractor hood to a central exhaust system?
You cannot connect an IKEA extractor hood with its own motor to a central exhaust system or a mechanical fan.
A hood that is connected to a central exhaust system or a mechanical fan may not function properly. The air that is released during cooking can also end up in other homes that are connected to this system.
In this situation, you can mount the extractor hood in recirculation mode with a NYTTIG carbon filter.
For more information about installation on a central exhaust system, contact a qualified installer.
