Can I make my IKEA curtains narrower or shorter?

You can adjust some of our curtains yourself. Here is where you can find which series can be made smaller or narrower.

Curtains 
You can adjust your curtains without a sewing machine by using our SY iron-on hemming strip. 

Roller blinds 
You can adjust the width of the roller blinds from our FRIDANS and LISELOTT series. Roller blinds from our SKOGSKLÖVER and TRETUR cannot be adjusted. Please note that when roller blinds are made narrower, the blinds need to be at least 31 mm narrower than the tube at the bottom of the blinds.  

Cellular blinds 
Cellular blinds from our SCHOTTIS series can be changed in length and width. Blinds from our HOPPVALS and TRIPPEVALS series cannot be changed.  

Panel curtains 
Some panel curtains, like the ones from our FÖNSTERVIVA series, can simply be cut to the right length and don’t need a hemming strip. Not all our panel curtains can be changed. Check the product details on our website. Is there no information about adjusting your curtains at the product details? That means the curtains cannot be changed. 

Roman blinds 
The length of our RINGBLOMMA blinds can be changed from 160 cm to 118, 72 or 32 cm.
