How do I add dishwasher salt to my IKEA dishwasher?
Only add dishwasher salt in the designated container. When you refill the salt reservoir, make sure that no salt gets onto the bottom plate. For example, you can use a funnel when refilling the reservoir.
Dishwasher salt can potentially cause damage to the dishwasher if it remains on the bottom plate of the appliance. If salt does end up on the bottom, remove it and run a (short) program to rinse away the salt that you may not have seen.
