What does the climate class of my IKEA fridge or freezer mean?
The climate class indicates the recommended ambient temperature for your fridge or freezer.
If you use the fridge or freezer at temperatures lower or higher than this climate class, the appliance will probably not function properly.
At IKEA you may find the following climate classes on the website or in the user manual:
| Climate class | Ambient temperature |
| SN | Between 10 ºC and 32 ºC |
| N | Between 16 ºC and 32 ºC |
| ST | Between 16 ºC and 38 ºC |
| T | Between 16 ºC and 43 ºC |
Many appliances have several abbreviations next to the climate class, such as SN - ST. If this is indicated then the appliance can be used in both climate classes.
