IKEA return policy
This page tells you everything you need to know about our generous return policy at IKEA, which is the same for all customers and all channels.
At IKEA, it’s OK to change your mind. Sometimes what seemed perfect for your home, office or garden, just isn’t. Returning a product to us is easy, no matter how or where you bought it.
Returning unopened IKEA products
You can return any unopened IKEA product within 365 days. No rush, no complicated conditions. Please bring your receipt and a refund will be issued in the payment form used to buy the product
Returning opened IKEA products
IKEA believes that all customers should be able to try out a product, which is why you have 365 days to return opened, even assembled, products. Simply show your receipt and you’ll be refunded the amount on a refund card.
IKEA products that can’t be returned
•Dirty, marked, damaged, incomplete or altered products.
•Photos printed using the Kiosk system.
•Gift cards.
•Services provided.
•Fresh food products.
•Dry food products with an expiry date before or on the date on which the return is processed and/or when the integrity of the packaging and/or product has not been maintained.
•Live plants.
•Personalised products, including embroidered products.
•Items that are part of joint promotions and combinations will not be accepted individually (i.e., only one of the products in the set). The complete set or combination will need to be returned.

•Bring your receipt for the product you wish to return.
•For unopened products, you’ll be refunded the return amount in the payment form you used to buy the product. Refunds for opened products will be issued on a refund card.
•More than 365 days since you bought your product? Give it a second life. Buy and sell IKEA furniture at our Circular HUB.
•Repair rather than replace! IKEA offers free spare parts for your furniture. Find your part.

You have 365 days to love or exchange your mattress
IKEA believes that your new mattress should be comfortable and to your liking. With IKEA, you have 365 days to decide whether you’re happy with your choice.
How to exchange an IKEA mattress
Simply bring back your mattress and your receipt to an IKEA store and we’ll help you choose another one. If you need to arrange a collection, contact us.
• New mattresses often feel a bit too firm at first, so wait at least a month for your body to get used to the mattress before you exchange it. To get the best comfort, make sure you choose a pillow that suits you and your new mattress.
• You can exchange your mattress within 365 days of purchase.
• Dirty, marked or damaged mattresses are excluded from the IKEA return policy so always use a mattress protector to protect and prolong the life of your mattress.
