What is IKEA Kreativ and how does it work?

It's a digital design experience, where you can explore IKEA furniture and products for the home in interactive showroom environments or in your own virtual space, whenever and wherever you want.

You can access IKEA Kreativ via the website or by downloading our app. It is completely free.
We have two ways to design:
1. Design in an interactive showroom
You can choose between an empty room template or a fully furnished design. Within these spaces, you can easily add, remove, swap and move products, save your design ideas and share them with family and friends. You can also purchase any items you like.
2. Design your own room or space, scan your room and design it.
With the “design your own room” feature, you can capture a wide-angle image of your home and add IKEA furniture (in 3D) using the IKEA app. These items will adapt realistically to the lighting of your space and interact with other objects in the room.
You can also digitally remove elements from your scanned room (for example, an old sofa or clutter). The erase function is available both in the app and online.
Additional information:
  • There is no limit to the number of rooms, you can scan as many as you like.
  • Available products mainly focus on living rooms, dining rooms, bedrooms and home offices.
  • Although IKEA Kreativ accounts for some product behaviour, it does not yet fully reflect IKEA’s expertise in home furnishing. For this reason, you can use our Interior Design Service for personalised advice.
  • The metric scale accuracy for rooms is typically over 97%.
  • Once designed, your room will be saved to your IKEA account (you will be prompted to log in or register if you haven’t already).
  • You can share your designs. Designs shared via the app can only be viewed. Designs shared online can be viewed and edited.
You can add individual items or an entire room to your shopping cart. If you need help with your purchase, you can call us and share your design with us.
If you would like to purchase with the help of our experts, you can contact our specialist advisors by calling 900 400 922. For more information, please see our Remote Shopping service.
