How can I request a VAT refund?
There are several cases in which you can request a refund of VAT paid on your purchases.
You can apply for a VAT refund as long as one of these two situations applies:
VAT REFUND TO CUSTOMERS UNDER THE TRAVELERS' REGIME.
If you are a private customer resident in a non-EU foreign country or resident in Ceuta, Melilla or the Canary Islands, you can apply for a VAT refund on purchases made at IKEA.
VAT REFUND FOR DIPLOMATS AND COMPANIES MAKING A COMMERCIAL SHIPMENT.
If you are a customer and you are diplomatic, consular or NATO staff or you are a company (both EU and non-EU) you must apply directly to us for VAT.
In Invoices and tickets you will find all the information you need, for example, where and how to manage the request, the documentation you need among others.
