How do the IKEA kitchen planners work?
First, make sure that you’re connected online with your IKEA profile, get inspired by our kitchens and open the respective kitchen planner (METOD, ENHET or KNOXHULT). Then start designing by choosing the locations of the oven, extractor hood and fridge/freezer. You can then choose a room shape matching yours or design from scratch.
- Make sure that you’re connected online with your IKEA profile
- Get inspiration from our different kitchen families (METOD, ENHET and KNOXHULT)
- Select the kitchen planner of the kitchen you chose
- Choose the location of the appliances (you can still change that later)
- Select the room shape that matches yours or start designing from scratch
- Add all the floor, wall and high cabinets you need
- Select or change the worktop to have the one you want – even if custom-made. You can adjust its dimensions through “Modify worktop options”. Custom-made worktop orders must always be checked by a kitchen specialist.
- Don’t forget to save your design (you need to be logged in with your IKEA profile). You can save several designs under several names, simply by creating copies (you don’t need to start every time from scratch). KNOXHULT designs can be saved for later, shared or opened on a mobile device via the QR code appearing on the right side of the screen. Your saved kitchen designs are linked to your e-mail address. You can find them again in the planners when you’re connected with your IKEA profile.
- Please book a planning appointment with a kitchen specialist to secure your design. This is mandatory for custom-made worktops.
- Your kitchen design will become locked once your order has been created. It might also be locked if a co-worker is working on it. If you still want to work on your design, then create a copy of it.
