How does the IKEA Secondhand Service work?
Start by using the “Buyback Estimator Tool” to check if your furniture is eligible and how much you might get for them. Bring your products assembled to your nearest IKEA store within 30 days of receiving your estimation. In the store, the condition of your products will be examined and a final price will be given. You will receive an IKEA refund card to spend online or in the store.
a. Find out what products you can sell back to us on the list of eligible items. For each price offer you receive, you can sell back up to 10 items.
b. On the same page, check how much you might receive on an IKEA refund card for your used IKEA products.
c. Verify that the products are clean, fully assembled and still have the original IKEA production sticker. You shouldn't have modified them either.
d. Please note that we do not agree to buy back your products until they have been confirmed as IKEA products and their resale condition has been verified by an IKEA co-worker.
Look out for an e-mail with your estimated quote and a number to reserve your transaction. You have now 30 days to bring them in one of our stores.
Bring your fully assembled products with your estimation number to your nearest IKEA store within 30 days of receiving your estimation. There is no pick-up service for second-hand items, you are responsible for transportation. The Secondhand service is available in all IKEA stores except Plan and Order Points.
At the Customer Service, the condition of your products will be examined. A final price will be given.
You will receive an IKEA refund card with the agreed amount to spend online or in a store. You can use your refund card for an unlimited period of time from the date of issue, however, it can’t be used in our bistros, restaurants or Swedish Food Markets.
All products in good condition will be resold in the store's Second chance market.
