Can I modify my IKEA product?
IKEA does not provide any instructions as to how you can adapt or amend one of our products.
IKEA tests all its products thoroughly. This is so that IKEA can, if necessary, demonstrate that it has complied with its duty of care. If we openly provide tips for modifications, this would breach our duty of care.
All guarantee and warranty claims will lapse if our furniture is modified.
If you wish to make changes despite this, we recommend that you ask a DIY store for advice.
