Is there a difference between a box spring and a box bed?

Of course, there is! Find more details here.

In a boxspring bed, the upholstered base has a spring core. Wooden slats are used as the base, and the spring core is placed on top. Combined with a pocket-spring mattress, this makes a boxspring bed. In a classic boxspring bed, everything is covered with fabric, including the mattress, so a topper is still needed for comfort, with a fitted sheet that covers only the topper. The classic boxspring beds we sell include HEMFJÄLLET and LILLFJÄLLET.

In a box bed, the upholstered base does not have a spring core, and the mattress rests directly on the upholstered base. The box bed can be combined with a foam mattress or a pocket-spring mattress. The upholstered base we sell is LYNGÖR. The cover does not includes the mattress. It is also possible to add the FÖLUNGEN spring core and combine it with a pocket-spring mattress to obtain a boxspring bed.
