  • What is the difference between the shopping basket and the shopping list?

    Items are saved in your shopping basket as soon as you click the "Buy online" button on a product page. You can complete your online order via the "Shopping basket". The "My shopping list" function allows you to save, print and send various lists by e-mail. The availability and warehouse locations in your chosen IKEA store are shown on the list. If you would like to order products online, you can very easily move them from the shopping list to the shopping basket.

  • How do I change or cancel my online order?

    Once you have placed your order you cannot change it online.

    If you wish you can change your order contacting IKEA Customer Service.

    If you wish to cancel your order you can do by yourself through your account in order history page. If you don't have an account, you can cancel finding your order here.

    If the order is already on your way it probably won't be possible to cancel.

  • Are the prices in the online shop the same as at IKEA stores?

    The prices in the online shop are normally the same as at IKEA stores. However, they may differ on occasion due to different special offers and promotions.

  • Why are there some products that are not available to order online?

    There are more than 10'000 items available to order from our online shop. We try to show virtually all our products online, so that our customers can discover the entire range. However, there are some products that cannot be ordered online. You can purchase these directly from your local IKEA store. The products available to buy online are identified by the blue "Add to shopping bag" button on the product page.

  • What should I do if I have taken away the wrong item?

  • What should I do if I have left items I have paid for at my IKEA store or at the till?

    Items handed in or found that have been paid for but not collected are entered on a list at our Customer Service and, due to space constraints, are returned to the warehouse at the end of the day. Please go to the Customer Service desk at the IKEA store and present your till receipt.
    If your paid-for product was found, we will refund the purchase price. To check whether your product has been found and handed in, please contact us.

  • Do you offer rental vehicles to transport items home?

    You can hire a spacious delivery vehicle from IKEA to transport your purchased items home. More information is available here.

  • How do I arrange for items purchades at my IKEA store to be transported to my home?

    You have the option of arranging delivery at Customer Service.

  • How do I locate an IKEA store near me and what are the opening hours?

    Wheelchairs are available to borrow from the entrance area at your IKEA store.

  • Do IKEA stores have Wi-Fi?

    You can register for free on our Wi-Fi network at any IKEA store in Switzerland.

  • Can I bring my dog to the IKEA store?

    In Vernier, Aubonne and Grancia, you may bring your dog with you – on a lead – into the IKEA store.
    In Spreitenbach, Dietlikon, St. Gallen, Pratteln, Rothenburg and Lyssach, kennels are available in front of the IKEA store, where your dog can wait for you while you shop.

  • What does IKEA offer for families?

    Every IKEA store provides high chairs, baby food, heating stations for meals in the restaurant, play corners and changing areas. In addition, you will find a children's play area and a cinema corner for older children in every IKEA store.

  • Are there age limits for the Småland children's play area?

    We are delighted to welcome children to our Småland play area. However, there are a few things to bear in mind:

    • At the IKEA stores in Aubonne, Vernier, Grancia, Rothenburg, Dietlikon and Pratteln, children aged 3 to 1 day before their 7th birthday and in Lyssach, Spreitenbach and St. Gallen children aged 3 to 1 day before their 8th birthday are welcome.
    • Parents or accompanying persons bringing a child to Småland must be aged 18 or over and present a valid identity document (passport/ID).
    • To confirm the child's age, we require the child's passport, ID or health insurance card
  • What should I do if I have lost a personal belonging at the IKEA store?

    If your personal belonging is found, we will keep the item for a few days at our Customer Service office. If you have any questions, please contact our Customer Service.

  • What warranties does IKEA offer?

    For many products, we offer you a warranty that extends beyond the statutory warranty period. The warranty period commences on the date of purchase. Please retain your receipt as proof of purchase. All the current warranties can be found here.

  • My kitchen planner or another planning tool is not working. What should I do?

    Please check first whether your computer meets the necessary systems requirements, which are confirmed at the bottom of the Planning tools & guidebooks page. The system requirments apply for all our planning tools. If your chosen planning tool still does not work, please let us know via our contact form.

  • How do I plan furniture combinations and rooms online?

    Our 3D planning tools enable you to experiment with various combinations and try out various styles from the comfort of your own home. You can save and print out your designs under your profile.
