Stem vases, round vases and more: discover the perfect shape for your home

You’ll find vases in all sorts of styles with us, so you’re always ready to create the look you want. Whether you need small or large vases, tall or low, round or slender – we’ve got the perfect vase for flowers, candles and more. Here are a few examples for your home:

  • Stem vase: Tall and slender, ideal for single long-stemmed flowers like lilies or roses. Creates an elegant, minimalist effect and really highlights solo blooms.
  • Round vase: Round base with a narrow opening – great for compact bouquets or decorative branches. This shape gives your arrangement fullness and stability, especially for short stems.
  • Floor vase: Usually very large or tall vases – perfect for dried flowers, big bouquets or pampas grass. Great for statement pieces on the floor or in corners.
  • Bottle vase: Cylindrical with a narrow neck – holds single stems securely and looks great as a group. You can also find beautiful sets of three with us.

Whether you’re searching for a mini vase for a chest of drawers in your hallway or want to style your dining table with elegant tulip vases, browse our range and find the vase that matches your style.

How to keep your decorative vases sparkling clean

Especially with glass vases, cleanliness is key. But what about narrow-necked vases or clear glass vases where every mark shows up? Here are a few tips:

Avoid vinegar and harsh chemicals

Vinegar or aggressive chemicals can leave residues that harm plants. It’s better to use citric acid or baking powder with warm water (make sure your decorative vase is suitable for liquids), let it soak, then rinse thoroughly.

Reach every spot in the vase

For slim vases or those with a narrow neck, add some rice with water, swirl it around gently to dislodge dirt, then rinse. A bottle brush (or a long stick wrapped in a cloth) is also perfect for cleaning inside.

Dishwasher cleaning? Best avoided

Strong chemicals and hot water can damage delicate vases. Plus, there’s no guarantee that narrow vases will be properly cleaned or free of chemical residue. That’s why handwashing is usually better. But don’t worry – you’ll also find vases at IKEA that are specifically marked as dishwasher-safe.
