IKEA Richmond requires all customers and visitors that enter our store to wear a mask or face covering at all times while in the store other than when enjoying a meal at our Restaurant. To promote physical distancing, we recommend shopping groups be limited to 2 people maximum.
When reopening our stores across the country in June, we voluntarily chose to operate at a lower capacity than we were required to under public health guidelines to ensure a safe shopping environment with enhanced physical distancing measures. At IKEA Richmond, we are operating at 25 per cent or less capacity.
The children’s play area, Småland, will remain closed. The IKEA Bistro is open for takeout only, and the Restaurant is open with limited capacity.
IKEA continues to offer contactless Curbside Click & Collect and online shopping with home delivery at IKEA.ca.
You have 365 days to return or exchange your product. To avoid long wait times, IKEA encourages customers to take advantage of its 365-day return policy and return or exchange products at a later time.

IKEA Richmond has donated over $200,000 in home furnishings and accessories this year to those most vulnerable in our community.
We want to help ensure those who are most vulnerable in our community have a safe and comfortable home during these challenging times. Over $180,000 in home furnishing kits have been donated to BC Women's Health Foundation, BC Society of Transition Houses and Progressive Intercultural Community Services in support of vulnerable children, families, seniors, refugees and newcomers in our community. Kits included bedding textiles and duvets, to kitchen and bath items, and even soft toys. An additional almost $20,000 has been dontated to Richmond Hospital and Richmond Mental Health in support of COVID-19 relief efforts. Plus, almost $4,000 in toys and furnishing accessories to Mamas for Mamas in support of children's right to play.
IKEA Canada receives a high volume of requests every week to support various worthwhile projects. At IKEA, having a positive impact on people and the planet is an essential part of our business. Each IKEA store supports local initiatives that align with our charitable giving policy. Please send your donation request to the IKEA Richmond store for consideration.
People and Planet
IKEA Richmond and Coquitlam plant 650 Indigenous Trees
On October 28th, IKEA Richmond and IKEA Coquitlam, teamed up to plant 650 Indigenous Trees in the City of Coquitlam's Hoy Creek Linear Park.
Hoy Creek is home to a salmon hatchery and enhancement program that is integral to the surrounding habitat. From Douglas Fir, to Salmonberries, our small but mighty team took on the task to restore the greenery in one of our city's most precious natural spaces.
Thank you to Tree Canada for having us, and for continuing to advocate for green spaces and tree health across Canada!
